Finally....
I honestly believe that we finally have the scenario that we need to push a college football playoff forward a step or two closer to happening. No matter what happens tonight in the BCS selection process, a MAJOR BCS conference team will be left out.
Oklahoma State in my opinion should be the team playing for the BCS title against the undefeated LSU. They have more top 25 victories and won their conference. Their only downfall was a loss to Iowa State, an unranked team in overtime. It also should be noted that the loss against Iowa State came on a day when the whole Cowboy Nation was rocked with the news that the Womens Basketball coach and his assistant had died in a plane crash earlier that morning.
Alabama, in my opinion was already eliminated by LSU. The "experts" always argue that the whole season is a playoff so Alabama should be out because they already lost to LSU. Do you remember that game? Overtime, ugly, no touchdowns and 5 total field goals. Do you want to see that again? Alabama also finished second in their conference, SECOND!
Without a playoff, how can a second place team be allowed to play for the BCS title when there are BCS Conference champions that have the same record? All will be announced in less than two hours from now and we will finally find out who will play LSU in the BCS title game. Now matter who they pick though, a team that deserves to be there as much as the other will be left out.
Why do we still allow this to happen in America? Why? Mark Cuban (since you have voiced your opinion on this before) or anyone else with money, call me and let's make a proposal to the NCAA for a better system before they renew the BCS contract again!
